Dr. Kirsten Alexander- Little River Chiropractic
Dr. Kirsten Alexander is President of Little River Chiropractic & Wellness
Center, P.C. The center offers care for north central Vermont. Dr. Alexander's expertise is in comfortable manipulation, massage therapy, nutrition, and exercise rehabilitation. She has been practicing chiropractic medicine for over 18 years. She believes strongly in treating the cause of the symptoms and educating each patient on the topic of their individual health.
Prior to starting Little River, Dr. Alexander earned her doctor of Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. She was chosen as intern for Back in Motion Sports Medicine where she earned the experience of working with chiropractic physicians for the Portland Running Company and Nike. During her four years in Chiropractic College Dr. Alexander earned her massage therapy license and worked for both the Aveda Corporation and Mt. Hood Chiropractic Clinic.
Dr. Alexander lives in Stowe, Vermont with her husband Hector, two daughters Ellie & Ana, and their two golden doodles, Miles & Ollie. Dr. Alexander has currently aquired Vermont Thermography and has added it to the many health services offered here at the wellness center.
Whitney Boland- On Point Acupuncture
Acupuncture, specializing in sports medicine
Whitney Boland is a licensed acupuncturist practicing in Stowe, Vermont.
She focuses her practice on treating sports injuries, orthopedic conditions
and the management of pain, and is trained in three different styles of
acupuncture: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a Japanese style developed
by Kiiko Matsumoto and a style rooted in channel theory called
Acupuncture Physical Medicine. She received her Masters at Tri-State College
of Acupuncture in New York City and blends these three styles. Prior to
becoming an acupuncturist, Whitney was a freelance writer for nearly
a decade working mostly with companies in the outdoor industry such as
Marmot, Red Bull, Black Diamond, Sterling Rope among others as well as
being a contributing editor for Rock and Ice magazine. She was also a former
competitive gymnast for 14 years and has been rock climbing for almost 20 years.
She spent more than a decade as an athlete ambassador for various climbing companies
. Because of her climbing background, she resonates highly with outdoor athletes and
enthusiasts. In addition, her extensive athletic background informs her treatments of not
only the physical toll of sports, injuries and pain, but the mental and
emotional toll as well.
Lisa Messier- Four Feathers Body Work
Certified IntegrativeMassage Therapist & Thermograhic Technician
Lisa Messier is a graduate of The Wellness Massage Center & Institute in St Albans, Vt as well as The New England Center for Craniosacral Therapy in Burlington, Vt. As an Integrative Therapist Lisa's treatment approach includes incorporating a multitude of modalities depending on each individuals needs. These modalities include:
-Craniolsacral Therapy, Therapeutic, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Shiatsu, 3D Hot Stone, Cupping, Reflexology & Reiki

Lisa has worked in the medical field for over twenty years and is also an experienced Chiropractic Assistant. She has currently been certified to take thermographs for Vermont Thermography and is the head Thermographer. Lisa resides in Jeffersonville with her husband Todd, son Jack, and their dog Gemma.
Carlotta Robbins- Massage Therapist
Nationally Certified Massage Therapist
Carlotta Robbins has over twelve years of massage and bodywork experience. In 1998 she attended the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA where she completed the 200 hour Kripalu Bodywork training. To further her massage education Carlotta went on to complete the 500-hour massage training program at Touchstone Healing Arts in Burlington, Vermont in 2001. In addition to her massage training she achieved a Bachelor of Science in Wellness & Alternative Medicine from Johnson State College. Carlotta also spent four semesters studying at the University of Hawaii in Hilo, HI where she was also able to continue learning about healing and bodywork.
Carlotta focuses her studies on the mind/body connection and believes that receiving massage can enhance this powerful link by giving people the opportunity to become in tune with their bodies. By allowing the body and mind to enter into a relaxed state, massage can facilitate the body's innate healing abilites. Whether choosing massage for therapeutic reasons or pure relaxation, it is a powerful method for enhancing, improving, and maintaining good health.
Carlotta currently lives in Waterbury, VT with her husband Jim.
Shauna Larson, C.A
Chiropractic Assistant & Clinic Director
Shauna is the Clinic Director for the wellness center as well as Dr. Alexander's Chiropractic Assistant or C.A.
Shauna earned her degree at the Massachusett's College or Art & Design with a BAE as well as a MFA. She brings all of her skills with website design, organization, business saavy, people skills, interior design, billing, reception, as well as "running the show" to the wellness center. In addition to directing Little River Chiropractic she also runs her own design business- Alameda Designs, LLC -www.alamedadesings.com . Her office resides in the lower level of the office building.
